Disclaimer: see chapter one Author's Note: This will probably be one of the most
important chapters in the entire story so pay attention. It answers quite a
few questions about Sailor Earth's life. Hopefully, it came out the way I
hoped it would. It's really really long and also very detailed at some
points, just to warn you. You will see quite a few changes in the end of the
Silver Millennium, but hopefully they'll work. Enjoy it because I've been
planning this chapter for such a long time and I'm so glad it's finally done!
The Forgotten Princess Chapter Seven: Battles
of Guilt Another scene slowly came into view while the
spectators watched in awe. Jed clutched Addy's small hand tightly as he
waited for the next memory to come back to him. He had been searching for his
soul mate for so long and she was finally here beside him. He had decided
that he would protect his love in this life like he couldn't before. Addy tightened her grip on Jed's hand as the scene became
clearer. She had been warding off these memories of what she had done for so
long and now they were all coming back full blast. But, she knew that it was
the only way to be with her past friends. She just hoped that they could
forgive her for her past crimes. The scene opened into a conference room in the Earth palace. All
the planetary princesses and their knights were in attendance. Everyone in
the meeting seemed genuinely happy and chatted gaily amongst each other. Pluto's voice echoed through the room once again, "We are
in the main meeting room at Earth's palace. This specific meeting takes place
a couple of weeks before the fall of the A concierge cleared his throat and announced, "Presenting
their royal highnesses Prince Endymion of Earth and Princess Serenity of the
Moon." In swept the two royals quickly with smiles on their faces.
Behind them were Endymion's guard, Malachite, Nephrite, Jadeite, and Zoisite,
and Sailor Earth. The new arrivals sat down and the meeting began. Princess Ami stood up and clearly spoke the purpose of the
meeting, "We have received a message from the "Okay, what does Beryl want us to do about it?" Haruka
got straight to the point of action like always. Malachite spoke up on that matter, "Beryl wants us to go to
the kingdom and investigate what is going on. She actually specifically asked
for us." The rest of the court nodded their approval of the idea. "For once, Beryl has a good idea. The guard should be able
to find out what's going on in the kingdom pretty quickly and we can go back
to ignoring Beryl once again." Mina blurted out as Chris laughed in
response. Then Sailor Earth got up to address the court, "I would
like to go with the guard to "But, Addy, why do you want to go? The guard is more than
capable of taking care of a little dark energy build up." Raye asked as
she noticed the concerned expression on the Earth's princess's face. "I have a feeling that this situation is a little bit more
than a dark energy buildup, Raye. I would like to go myself to observe and
make sure nothing more is happening." Sailor Earth flipped her dark
braid over her shoulder. The rest of the court agreed pretty quickly to
Addy's demands for they had learned to trust her feelings in these types of
situations. The guard and Sailor Earth then headed off to the The scene faded away and was soon replaced by one that was in
what was obviously the Pluto paused the scene at that time and asked, "Now, we are
getting into the most important scenes and I won't be able to stop for
questions after this. Therefore, if any of you have questions, now is the
time to get them answered." Lita's voice was the only one heard, "Yes, I have one. Why,
during the meeting, was Addy dressed as Sailor Earth instead of like a
princess?" "That's a very good question, Lita, and I'm glad you asked
that. You see, Serenity didn't have a knight protector like the rest of you.
The tradition in the solar system was that the sailor scout of the Earth
would protect the Moon Princess. Therefore, Addy was the sworn protector of
Princess Serenity like she has said before. She spent much of her time in her
Sailor Earth outfit so that she could protect the princess at all
times." No one else had questions so Pluto unpaused the scene and
everyone prepared to get some much wanted answers. Endymion's guard and
Sailor Earth knocked on the front door of Beryl's palace and waited.
Suddenly, they were ambushed by swarms of youma. The group began to beat the
youma back after about five minutes, but then more and more joined in the
fight. The guard and Sailor Earth started to tire from the constant
fighting, but kept on going. The rest of the court watched in horror at the
struggle their friends were enduring especially since they now knew what was
happening before them. This was the what had happened when the guard was captured
by Beryl and brainwashed. But, they didn't know that Sailor Earth was with
them. They wondered whether she was brainwashed or whether she escaped. The struggle lasted for about another ten minutes before a youma
managed to knock Sailor Earth unconscious. The guard dropped their fighting
stance for a brief second, but that was all the time the youma needed to
capture them as well. The top five youma picked up the fallen warriors and
teleported inside the palace. The inside of the palace was as different from the outside as
night and day. The walls were covered in black slime and spikes stuck out at
random angles. The youma quickly marched into the throne room and placed the
unconscious soldiers on the hard ground before a large black chair. A high-pitched snaky voice rang out from the darkness,
"Excellent! You have succeeded at your first mission. But, what's this?
Oh, what luck, Sailor Earth came with them! This just makes my job ten times
easier. Now, I won't even have to fight with one of the strongest sailor
scouts on my side. Medea, take these five and start the brainwashing. I want
all of them completely under my control." The voice finally registered
in everyone's minds as that horrible one of Beryl. This scene quickly faded out and was replaced by a space shot of
Athena. The planet of memory and music was a soft dove gray and looked like a
cloud of light fog. Space cruisers routinely hurried to and from the planet's
many space docks. Suddenly, a figure appeared right above the atmosphere of
the planet. Pluto zoomed the scene in enough so that the court could see the
figure better. Serena and Before anyone could even take another breath, Sailor Earth
lifted the staff above her head and seemed to be collecting power. A large
green and purple ball appeared hovering near her head. Then, Sailor Earth
launched the energy ball towards the center of Athena. They heard her voice cry
out, " Cassie gasped at what she saw and clung to Andrew in terror. She
couldn't register what had happened. Sailor Earth, the kindhearted and
powerful protector of Princess Serenity, had destroyed her planet and killed
all her people. It didn't make any sense at all. Addy felt Jadeite's hand pull away from hers when he saw what
had happened and tears of guilt drifted down her tan cheeks. She knew that
they were horrified at what had happened and unfortunately it wasn't over
yet. She wished with all her heart that they could forgive her for all the
horrible things she had done so long ago. But, she wasn't holding her breath.
The scene faded and was replaced just as quickly as the last
time by the Moon Palace. The last battle was beginning and the scouts
prepared to watch their deaths once again. They watched in fear as Queen
Beryl appeared above the palace with Sailor Earth at her side, both of them
laughing. Sailor Earth then spotted out of the corner of her green eye the
Outers cruiser coming towards them. She knew that she had to get rid of them
if the Negaverse's victory was to be sealed. Sailor Saturn's powers would
ruin the entire plan. So, she quickly conjured up an energy ball and launched
it at the Outers. The ship exploded in a blazing inferno as it hurtled
towards the ground. Sailor Earth laughed cruelly at the death of three of the most
powerful warriors in the solar system. Queen Beryl congratulated her
companion on her quick thinking then ordered her to find and kill Princess
Serenity. The sailor scout agreed and floated towards the palace. Below at the battlefield, the sailor scouts were struggling to
stop the hordes of youma coming towards them. Then the brainwashed guardians
got into the act and the death rate shot up rapidly. The present lives of the
guard cringed as they saw the horrible ways they were killing those innocent
people. This was the first time they had actually seen what the results of
their betrayals were. Sailor Earth wasted no time in arriving at the palace. Malachite
followed behind her for a time until they came to two corridors. Sailor Earth
ordered Malachite to go right while she hurried to the left. She heard voices
and picked up speed towards them. She arrived just in time to see a much
weakened Sailor Athena and a cocky Zoisite fighting. "Zoisite! Stop fooling around and kill the meddlesome brat.
I need you to accompany me when I kill Princess Serenity!" Sailor Earth
snapped at the lady guardian who nodded. Athena screamed in response, "Addy, what are you doing?
What is wrong with you? You would never kill Serenity! She's your best
friend, Addy! Stop this stupid rampage now!" Athena's speech was cut
short as Sailor Earth commanded some vines to wrap the broken princess. Her
energy was rapidly drained from her body and she was left hanging on to life
by a thread. Sailor Earth then watched as Athena and Zoisite fought. She was
surprised when Athena stabbed Zoisite right before she fell. Sailor Earth didn't know what took over her body, but she
hurried towards the two fallen girls. She bent over them and as she looked
into Athena's gray eyes and Zoisite's green ones, she felt overcome with
emotion as her real memories broke through the mind block in her brain. "Addy? Are you all right?" Athena whispered softly at
her friend. Sailor Earth's eyes filled with tears as she watched her friends
slowly slip away. Right before Zoisite died, she begged Sailor Earth to
protect Endymion and Serenity to her last bit of life. Then the two best
friends' eyes darkened with death and Sailor Earth stood up, anger pulsating
through her veins. She was going to make Beryl pay for what she made her do. But,
first she had to protect her beloved brother and best friend. She touched
Athena and Zoisite one more time before running off towards where she felt
her brother was. The columns of the palace rushed by her as she hurried down
the immense hallways until she arrived at a balcony. She hid behind a pillar as she listened to that sleazy Beryl try
to convince Endymion to join her in her Nega-verse ways. Addy grinned at her
stubborn brother's repeated refusal. Beryl started to get angry and prepared
to attack the couple. Then her attack was cut off by the appearance of Sailor
Earth. Serenity and Endymion stared at Sailor Earth in horror for they
had seen what she had become under Beryl's influence. Queen Beryl, oblivious
to the fact that Sailor Earth didn't look as evil as before, smiled at her
appearance and offered her the opportunity to kill Endymion and Serenity. "Thanks for the offer, Beryl, but I think I'll have to
decline!" Sailor Earth shrieked at the redheaded snake of a queen. Beryl looked taken aback at the refusal of her controlled
warrior, "What do you mean? I am ordering you to kill them now while I
watch!" "You heard me, Beryl, I said no! I refuse to follow your
stupid orders anymore," Addy said right before losing her temper,
"I will make you pay for what you did to me, you freak! You will not get
away with making me kill all those people on Athena and the Outers! Your
reign of terror ends with me!" With that Sailor Earth hurled herself at Beryl. She made her
staff appear in her hand and swung at the queen's head, missing by inches.
Then Beryl grabbed Sailor Earth by the neck and flew her against a stone
wall. The sailor scout crumbled to the ground as blood poured from a fresh
cut above her right eye. She got up once again and started to swing her staff
in many motions. Sailor Earth attacked Beryl with everything she had and even
more. But, the situation was quickly becoming hopeless. Beryl was filled with
such Nega-power that she was easily beating the life scout. Thrown to the
wall for the third time, Sailor Earth looked at her brother and best friend. Then, Endymion grabbed his sword and flung himself towards
Beryl. Serenity screamed in horror as Beryl threw Endymion to the ground.
Laughing at the predicament, Beryl took a ball of energy and blasted it into
Endymion's body. His blood seeped through the crack of the marble floor. Sailor Earth snarled at what Beryl was doing to her brother and
caused a vine to emerge from the palace and wrap around Beryl's spiny neck.
The thick green vine tightened around the queen and began draining her of
energy. Unfortunately, Beryl tore off the vine and flung it at Serenity who
was hovering over Endymion's battered body. Without even thinking, Sailor Earth pushed Serenity out of the
way and blood poured out of her mouth as the vine slammed into her chest. She
fell to the ground and coughed uncontrollably while clutching her chest in
pain. Darkness started to enclose around Sailor Earth's eyes and she willing
allowed it to increase. Then she heard Serenity's screams of pain as Beryl attacked her.
No, she would not let her best friend down again! No matter what the cost,
she would not let Beryl win again! Addy struggled up from the ground and
staggered towards Beryl. The red-haired queen was too occupied with Serenity to notice
Addy coming up behind her. The green-eyed warrior lifted her staff above her
head clubbed Beryl in the arm. She heard the snap of the queen's arm bone
crack under the force of the powerful staff. Beryl cursed under her breath
while checking the condition of her arm. Wasting no time, Addy hollered, "Serenity! You have to get
Endymion out of here! I'll hold Beryl off as long as I can, but I can't be
worrying about you too." The blonde princess shook her head, "No, Addy! I'm not
leaving you!" Addy walked over to her princess and slapped her across the
cheek, "Listen to me, Serenity! You have to leave if you want to save
Endymion's life. I think I can defeat Beryl, but I don't want you to get
caught in the backfire of the attack." The protector stared into
Serenity's blue eyes until the princess understood what was going on. She
crawled over to her fiancee who was waking up and the two hurried off down
the corridor. Sailor Earth took a deep breath and walked painfully towards
Beryl. She grasped her staff and began to power up a last-resort attack.
Feeling faint, Sailor Earth continued her upward climb of power inside of her
body. She floated above the ground and purple and green sparks crackled
around her. Pain screamed to her brain, but the young scout didn't stop her
power burst. Beryl suddenly noticed Sailor Earth's power rise as she felt the
ground shake slightly under her. She glanced at the scout and gasped at what
she saw. Sailor Earth was floating above the ground with her long black hair
wrapping around her face. Her eyes were an intense shade of purple and her
staff was glowing brighter and brighter each passing second. Then Sailor Earth opened her mouth and shrieked in an
ear-shattering blast, "Earth Life Drain Resort!" Energy poured from
her body and enveloped a surprised Beryl. The staff exploded with power at
the same time and the columns continued to shake violently. Then the inferno
of light and power dimmed and quickly disappeared. The light blew away to
reveal a battered, but not dead Beryl standing with her hands in front of her
body. Suddenly, Sailor Earth's bloody body collapsed to the ground and lay
there, unmoving. Beryl looked up and smiled a vicious grin as she spotted Sailor
Earth's dead body before her. She staggered towards the corridor and hurried
after Endymion and Serenity. Within a few minutes, both of the royals were dead and their
bodies were floating above the wreckage. A distraught Queen Serenity watched
as her daughter and her love floated there, dead. She squeezed her lovely
eyes shut in pain as a few tears escaped down her pale cheeks. "No, I will not let it end this way!" the queen placed
the silver crystal on the crescent wand and raised it up high. The crystal's
immense power surrounded the fallen kingdom and trapped Queen Beryl in the
Nega-verse and sent the court to the future. Unfortunately, using the crystal's
power had completely drained Serenity of her life energy and she was slowly
dying. But, before the end, she ordered Luna, Artemis, Perseus, and
Apolla to find the reincarnated sailor scouts and guide them. Then, Sailor
Pluto appeared before the dying queen and they decided together to make
everyone forget about Sailor Earth's existence. They knew that it would be
best that they didn't remember what she had done until they were ready. The queen died and Pluto left to work on altering the scouts including
Athena's memories of the existence of Sailor Earth and Princess Adelaide.
Pluto grimaced as she altered everyone's minds for although Sailor Earth had
done such horrible things when controlled she was a hero who had sacrificed
her own life for her brother and best friend. She could only hope that the
future version of Adelaide would be able to forgive herself for her past
crimes. But, only time would tell. Preview of Chapter Eight: Forgiveness and Bonding The court gets over the shock of Addy's past life and works to
comfort the distraught sailor scout. Also, Darien and Addy begin their
sibling bonding! |
